The Tribespot Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected and used when you use the app or any of our services.
Personal information we collect
When an account is made on Tribespot, the personal information collected includes:
- your name
- the student society you represent (for societies using our services to automate and streamline their recruitment)
- the university you attend (for societies using our services to automate and streamline their recruitment)
- your email
Throughout our Privacy Policy, the above information will be referred to as "user information".
When you submit an application to a student society that is using our app to automate and streamline their recruitment, the personal information collected includes your:
- name
- phone number
- degree
- year of study
- student number
- gender
Throughout our Privacy Policy, the above information will be referred to as "applicant information".
How user information is used
User information is visible to Tribespot staff and will be used for login and signup purposes. Email addresses can be used by the Tribespot staff to establish communication with users regarding the operation of the app and to troubleshoot any potential issues. The email associated with an account on Tribespot will be visible to any recipient of an email sent using the app.
Tribespot staff will not share or distribute user information to a 3rd party under any circumstances.
How applicant information is used and shared
Applicant information is visible to both Tribespot staff as well as the user of the account associated with the society the applicant submitted an application for. Applicant information is also visible to those who users share the marking interface with. Users of the app are only to share the marking interface, and thus applicant details, with other executive members of their society, and not to the general public. Users of the app may delete recruitment drives and applications from the app, causing applicant details to be denied to the society executives who previously had access to this data. However, Tribespot's database will retain copies of all applicant data.
Tribespot staff may initiate email or phone contact with an applicant in the event of any operational issues relevant to the app that require further troubleshooting.
Amendments
Tribespot reserves the right to make changes to our Privacy Policy at any time without formal notification. It is recommended that you review our privacy policy shortly before initiating an action that is relevant to Tribespot's processing, usage and sharing of personal information.
