We are recruiting for the specific roles outlined below:
Executive Assistant: Join our team as an Executive Assistant, where you’ll support the President, Secretary and Treasurer managing administrative tasks and liaising with UMSU. Your role involves coordinating schedules, assisting with correspondence, and facilitating smooth operations within the general committee. If you have previous experience with UMSU that is a bonus, and it will be beneficial to be organised and detail-oriented.
Events Associate: You will assist the Vice President of Events and People & Culture Director with event execution from start to finish. The responsibilities include booking venues, managing registrations, and ensuring everything runs smoothly during the event. Events we have lined up for the semester include social nights with committee, trading and investing workshops, and networking evenings with sponsor firms.
Marketing Associate: You will be assisting the Marketing Directors in creation of marketing material for sponsors and events, utilising platforms such as Photoshop and Canva. This role may also include the distribution of content on our social mediums - LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
Content Creator: You will be responsible for producing engaging TikToks and Instagram Reels that showcase our club’s activities, promote events, and highlight opportunities for members.
People and Culture Associate: You will be in charge of assisting the director in organising the internal events of the committee, inclusive of workshops with alumni, social nights with committee, and active involvement and execution of recruitment in the future.
Economics Analyst: You will conduct in-depth analysis of global macroeconomic trends, offering insights into key economic developments and policy shifts. Your research will highlight the forces that impact financial markets, the dynamics of economic cycles, and the implications of monetary and fiscal policy on the macroeconomy and financial assets.
Research Analyst: This is a dynamic role that allows you to explore and report on major macroeconomic events, financial news, and key market concepts. Analysts will craft insightful, well-researched articles on topics ranging from broad deciphering complex financial concepts to an in depth analysis of individual firms.
Financial Education Analyst: You will assist UNIT in delivering the club's broader message of financial education to the general public. This is a flexible role, that will give you the scope to write about corporate and financial topics of your choosing to a large audience, to be distributed on our social mediums.
It is expected that all committee members will attend the weekly meetings, which will be held on Thursday afternoons throughout the semester.
Please ensure you submit your resume in PDF form for your application to be considered. Applicants will be assessed based on interest in the club and its work as well as on the quality of their application.
