Description of Respective Porfolios

Executives

Being an Executive Subcommittee member requires dedication, punctuality, and good time management. You will be in direct contact with our Presidents and Secretary. Your responsibilities will include but not exclusive to aiding the Presidents in their tasks independently of the society, liaise with other subcommittee members to ensure a clear top-down overview for the Executives, and engaging in initiatives that benefit the strategic goals of the society. Being in this subcommittee gives you the chance to develop yourself and build your leadership potential.

Activities

Are you a result driven individual who enjoys seeing weeks of planning being translated into value for fellow students? Members of this subcommittee will work closely with the Vice President (Activities) to plan the social and professional activities, and workshops organised by the society. This role will give you the foundation knowledge for what it takes to run events for a student society.

Internals

Be a part of a fundamental pillar of the Commerce (International) Society by helping your fellow students, both professionally and personally! Apply if you would like to connect with and help others within the society bond and work well together. You will be working closely with the VP Internal, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the society through the Internal Subcommittee.

Marketing & Publications

Marketing and Publications is a great way to make a direct positive impact on the community with the freedom of creative design! You will be directly assisting the Marketing Director and other portfolios with generating promotional material for the society and activities organised by the club. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining the social media pages and will need a working knowledge or strong interest in photoshop or equivalent.

Publications is the external arm of society that runs and curates our exchange-focused travel blog - A Worldly Mind. The blog aims to help students throughout the exchange process. Publications also creates resources such as flyers or guides, and disseminates helpful information in the form of creative and easy-to-digest content. Running our official website is a responsibility to uphold.

Education

Are you passionate about transferring knowledge? Do you want to help others achieve their goals? If so, this is the job for you! Being a subcommittee member of Education gives you access to resources from the Business School, Careers Accelerator, and the UNSW Exchange Office. As part of Com(Int)Soc, you will have the chance to guide UNSW students through the exchange process, liaise with stakeholders at UNSW, and construct initiatives to help students develop themselves professionally.
